Lots of tools are available in the market that can make peeling fruits easier and faster, saving your valuable time. However, not all fruits are easy to peel or cut with these tools. Peeling fruits like kiwi, mango, avocado, orange, peaches, pomegranates generally got a mess on your hands. Tips to Cut Fruits Quickly without Making Mess

1. Kiwi

There are two ways to peel kiwi faster.
Method 1:
  • Slice about ½ inch off from both ends of the kiwi.
  • Gently insert a thin-lipped spoon between the peel and fruit.
  • Carefully rotate the spoon all around the kiwi, loosening the skin.
  • Remove the skin from the kiwi in one piece.

Method 2:
  • Cut kiwi into halves from top to bottom
  • Put the edge of the cut kiwi against the rim of the drinking glass.
  • Apply a little pressure, pushing the fruit down the side of the drinking glass
  • The peel will remain outside and the flesh on the inside.

2. Mandarin Oranges

Method 1:

  • Cut off the top and bottom end of an orange, avoiding cutting the flesh.
  • Cut a slit on one side.
  • Gently roll the fruit out in a strip
Method 2:
  • Cut a slit in the middle of an orange, avoiding cutting the flesh.
  • Insert the back side of a spoon between the peel and flesh.
  • Rotate the spoon carefully around the fruit on both sides.
  • Finally, remove the peel.

3. Pomegranate

  • Cut the both ends of pomegranate.
  • Make several cuts on the sides of the pomegranate and break it into sections.
  • Submerge the sections into the water and wait 10 minutes
  • Release the seeds with your thumbs and fingers into the water.
  • After removing all the seeds, remove the skin from the bowl and strain the seeds with a strainer.
  • Spread the seeds on a baking sheet to remove the excess water.

4. Peaches

  • Wash peaches and cut an X on the skin at the bottom of the fruit.
  • Dunk the peaches into boiling water and boil for 30 seconds to 40 seconds or until the skin loose.
  • Drain the peaches and immediately submerge them into the bowl of ice water.
  • After 1 minute, gently rub off the skin.

5. Watermelon

  • Cut watermelon into two parts.
  • Turn one half of watermelon onto a chopping board.
  • Cut 1 to 11/2 inch strips using a knife and then, rotate the watermelon and do exactly the same thing.

6. Mango

  • Cut two slices from top to bottom of a mango.
  • Place the edge of the fruit against the rim of the glass.
  • With a little pressure, push the mango down the side of the glass.

7. Tomatoes

  • Place all the tomatoes on a plate.
  • Cover the plate with another plate. Make sure that there is a gap in between the plates.
  • Hold the top plate and slice through the tomatoes with a sharp knife.

8. Avocado

  • Cut an avocado into two pieces and remove the pit.
  • Insert a spoon between the peel and fruit.
  • Rotate the spoon all around the avocado.

9. Pineapple

  • Cut the pineapple into quarters with the help of a sharp knife.
  • Insert the knife between the peel and fruit to separate the skin.
  • Now, cut pineapple into slices.
  • Slide wedges of the pineapple alternatively to the left and to the right.
